    1. Ironically one of the most French things you can do is light a cigarette without a care in the world for what setting you’re in.

I like that the French expect immigrants to respect the established values or get the f out.

Wish my government had such a policy.

    3. Yeah gravely insulting your host country’s lost veterans is not a great idea.

      Edit: no pun intended.

If you leave a place for a reason but don’t assimilate and adopt the host customs, then you’re just bringing your problems with you. Unfortunately that’s a good 50% of the cognitive dissonance around immigration. The other 50% is just racism / ethnocentrism.

    5. People do a lot of dumb things. I kind of get some of them. I get bungee jumping, sky diving, even running naked across a football pitch if it makes you happy. But this is just… fucking why?

I wonder if he thought it would be cool to do, or maybe he just a sad man who hates seeing ppl gather around something or someone because he doesn’t see himself as important enough

    7. every guest not respecting locals (law, culture, history, traditions…) should be send back where he/she came from

    8. That’s disrespectful, but it doesn’t seem like something his residency should be revoked for?
